Where Belaf arrange our own Host Families, we ensure full vetting processes are carried out which include:

• Comprehensive application process which includes phone meeting and in-person or virtual home viewing

• DBS/ Police checks for anyone over age 18

• 2x references for each adult in the home

• Home risk assessment, gas safety check, and fire escape plan

• Covid-19 screening questions

Boarding Schools

Where we arrange placements at UK Boarding Schools, we ensure schools have in place and make available:

• Safeguarding / Child Protection Policy

• Behaviour Policy

• First Aid / Medical Policy

• Health and Safety Policy

Language Schools

Where we arrange placements at Language Schools, we ensure:

• Appropriate safeguarding checks are made for host families

• Safeguarding / Child Protection Policies are available

Insurance

For Belaf host family stays, our insurance includes:

• Medical and Repatriation

• Personal Liability

• Personal Accident

  For stays at Boarding Schools or Language Schools, insurance provided may vary.
